James "Jay" Dickinson

A Senior Advisor with The Family Office at Synovus, Jay is responsible for providing clients with financial and estate planning, investments, and family governance guidance. He is committed to understanding his clients’ goals and providing strategic advice to help them achieve those goals. Additionally, Jay serves on the firm’s Investment Committee and Alternatives Committee.

Jay has more than 20 years of financial services industry experience. Prior to joining Synovus Family Office in 2003, he was a Senior Tax Accountant for Stephen M. Berman & Associates CPAs.

Jay earned his M.B.A. from the University of Georgia, with concentrations in Finance, Real Estate, and Entrepreneurship. He received a B.S. in Finance, with a concentration in Investments, from Clemson University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Financial Planner™(CFP®).

Jay is a member at St. Luke United Methodist Church, Columbus, GA, where he serves on the Finance Committee and teaches youth Sunday school classes.
